Cuanto tiempo dura un Terminal Server License sin Activar

Para Windows 2003 el servicio sin activar dura 120 dias y 90 dias para Windows 2000, en ambos casos solo entregara Licencias Temporales hasta su activacion

Cuanto tiempo dura las licencias temporales de Terminal Server

Duran 120 dias. Luego debera obtener una licencia final o borrar el registro HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSLicensing

Event ID: 1004 - The terminal server cannot issue a client license.

Este error es dado al conectarse el usuario al Terminal Server, y el Servidor conectado no puedo obtener una licencia validad para el usuario, Verificar el Terminal Server Licensing y conectividad entre el Server de Terminal Server y el Server de Terminal Server Licensing.

Borrar la siguiente Key del registro del cliente
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software \Microsoft \MSLicensing

Como puedo mover las licencias de Terminal a otro Servidor de Terminal Server licencing

Primero has un backup de tu License Server por defecto en, %systemroot%\system32\lserver y %systemroot%\Repair
Para mover o reemplazar hay que realizar las siguientes tareas:

1. Instalar y Activar un License Server en el nuevo Server
2. Instalar las licencias en igualdad de cantidad y tipo que el server original. Para esto debemos usar unos de los tres metodos disponibles para esta tarea,  via Web o Telefonicamente a Microsoft Customer Service
3. Asegurarse que los Terminal Server encuentren al nuevo Servidor de Licencias (ver si no esta puesto manualmente al Server de licencias)
4. Desinstalar o desactivar el componente de Terminal Server licensing original.

Existe un Hotfix para las multiples barras de tareas dentro de un perfil en Terminal Server ?

 En realidad no hay Hotfix, este problema se soluciona deshabilitando la opcion de "advanced text services" dentro de "regional and language options".

Como establecer un Servidor de Licencias de Terminal Server predeterminado para un Terminal Server

Para Windows Server 2003, crear o modificar el parametro  LicenseServers , en HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TermService\Parameters.

En Windows 2000 Server, el parametro es DefaultLicenseServer, hubicado en KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TermService\Parameters.
